“Build them Up . . . “

Every once in a while an opportunity comes our way that we just have to step into. The good of the outcome, the company that is involved, the personal growth that is there to be had, there are many reasons, but we have got to join in.

Romans 15:1-6 speaks of these opportunities like this; “We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.” For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Endurance, Encouragement and Hope empowered by a positive attitude, looking forward to the outcome and the benefit to others. These are our thoughts, our prayer for you. Today, tomorrow, where can you find a place to be a part of something bigger than yourself. Something positive and encouraging that will bless your neighbor?

We’ve got a place, and a time. The Virginia Weaver Playground is being rebuilt by neighbors, for neighbors. Over 25 years ago neighbors got together and built the first playground. It was the very first thing put into the park. And now we have the opportunity to do it again, with a new generation of kids, parents and grandparents. We will be onsite, building this playground from Tuesday, February 23rd through Sunday, March 3rd, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. There are 3 separate shifts each day. Please go back to our Home page, or read more on our Events page and see how you can be inspired, encouraged, to find your endurance and hope to pay it forward for generations to come.
